Whilst it’s impossible to escape this blustery winter weather, at The Magic Loungeabout HQ the guys are planning their summer festive fun with a Baileys in hand as embers glow warmly in the fireplace. It’s moments like these when you have a chance to reflect on the months ahead, and that weekend of eventual joy which awaits us all at the end of July.
It’s a coming together of like-minded souls to share and indulge in a true communal experience. It’s our historic love of gatherings and of get-togethers - of music, games and laughter - combined into a unique festival experience like no other.
The Magic Loungeabout is a distillation of enchantment and adventure, a concentrated burst of colour, light and energy, in a sublime setting brimming with surprises around every corner.
And what better to way to show how much a loved one is loved, or a friend is indeed a friend, buy buying them a ticket for next summer’s escapism. The special offer of 20% all tickets lasts until the end of December, and any tickets ordered before December 15th will arrive before Xmas Eve.
The boutique camping area will now be on sale from Wednesday 14th December. This popular area offers a super-charged refined experience, from an onsite concierge with food delivered to direct to tents, massages, free breakfast and the morning papers and not to mention hot showers and luxury toilets too.
Summer at The Magic Loungeabout 2011 featured headline guests including The Human League, Badly Drawn Boy, New Young Pony Club and Howard Marks, along with sumptuous food and drink, lots of fun and games and a truly refined ambiance. The eagerly awaited first wave of acts will be announced in Jan 2012, along with more festival news.
Simon Adamson, the festival’s director, says that, “I’d like to wish all Loungers a very happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year too. This time of year is always amazing, though of course we’ve one eye on the summer already! Our plans are taking shape nicely and there’s going to be loads more going on at The Magic Loungeabout 2012. Keep your eyes peeled for our first major announcement in January.”
Already confirmed for 2012 include the brand new Forest Stage featuring pop up acoustic sessions and fringe theatre, the interactive oratory tent and twice as many pop and acoustic acts scattered throughout the weekend.
