Vintage Fair makes Successful Return to Birmingham
A unique buzz returned to Birmingham this weekend as Vintage fans swarmed to Digbeth to visit ‘The Vintage Fair’ situated at the Old Library.
Over 850 excited bargain junkies descended on the Old Library bringing with them an electric energy determined to grab their fashion fix at the second instalment of Birmingham’s Vintage Fair.
Now in its third year, and second visit to Birmingham, The Vintage Fair houses over 40 stalls of vintage clothing, accessories, jewellery, artwork and crafts from up and down the country, many of which are from right here in Birmingham.
Originally only intended as a one off event in Sheffield back in 2008 masterminded by founder Louise Whitehead, The Vintage Fair has seen phenomenal success across the country. Birmingham remains the busiest event to date with hordes of fashionistas coming together to share in the vintage treats the fair has to offer.
Louise Whitehead organiser of The Vintage Fair said: “Everyone had a lovely day at the Vintage Fair, it was a roaring success and we are excited for the Fair to return to Digbeth in early October”
Emily Righton, Events Manager for the Old Library said: “The Vintage Fair is such a fantastic event to work on. We see a breadth of visitors walk through the doors, ranging from the keen-eyed bargain hunter to just people passing by.
“With gothic style windows, arched roof and plenty of natural daylight, the Old Library acts as a blank canvas for us to theme, decorate and build for any occasion.
“We’re thrilled to be bringing The Vintage Fair back to the heart of Birmingham’s creative district, and hope that it is a relationship that will continue to grow over years to come.”
