    This weekend sees the Lions of Bath on display for the last time at a family event in front of the Royal Crescent tomorrow and Sunday. The 106 sculptures are up for auction on October 15 and 17, although bidding has started online, with interest already received from as far afield as San Diego.

    Bath agency, Ideas of the Mind, is sponsoring a bonus lion in the final month of the Lions of Bath public art project, as well as bringing a star of the original cast of The Lion King to sing at the Roar Goodbye Weekend (9-10 Oct).

    This week the Lions of Bath 2010 public art event unveiled its final pride member, outside The Huntsman Pub (near Bog Island). Chosen to highlight the decline of lions in the wild due to continued trophy hunting, this lion is named 'Big Game?'

    23 lion sculptures were unleashed into the Royal Crescent Hotel garden this morning for the official launch of The Lions of Bath public art project. Creative Boom attended the event to seek out any lions sponsored and/or designed by Bath creatives.
