Xcetra Media works with local school
Xcetra Media, a Bath based creative design agency, has been working with a local primary school to teach pupils about business.
Partner Shane Xu was joined by several other local business professionals last month to form a panel of judges in the style of BBC show Dragon's Den. The children from Shoscombe Primary School have spent the term creating a new chocolate product which they pitched to the dragons. They were advised on aspects such as marketing, manufacture and finance with the opportunity to have their chocolate made by Cadburys. Shane says that he was thrilled to be part of the project and loved to see what the children had created. He adds: “It’s great to see schools encouraging creative thinking whilst teaching them about core business and entrepreneurship”. Xcetra also brought along Business Link advisor Peter Jennings to share his guidance with the students. Shane says: “Peter has been an incredible aid to Xcetra and it’s great to see him inspire a new generation." Xcetra Media is a multi-disciplined creative design and brand communications agency based in central Bath. The company specialises in the planning and delivery of email communications in addition to designs for websites and print. Clients include BBC Worldwide, Future publishing and NBC Universal.
