"We All Want the Swamp": Sam Marsh Exhibition

An intriguing new exhibition of contemporary art by young local artist Sam Marsh opens at The Octagon, Milson Place in Bath today.

With a string of prestigious art awards from Japan and the UK, Marsh has rocketed onto the contemporary art scene since graduating from Brighton University with a First in Fine Art Painting in 2008.

Now Marsh has chosen a traditional Grade 1 listed venue in the heart of Bath to stage his most ambitious and arresting show to date - ‘We all Want The Swamp!’

Open daily from 12pm – 7pm until 26th February, the show takes visitors inside the imagination of Sam Marsh’s B-movie inspired work, including a three-metre high monster and a series of limited edition mini monster paintings.

Alongside the exhibition Sam will be holding art talks and workshops with local schools in Bath including the City of Bath College. Two local film makers will also be making a short film about the show.
