Lisa Lort becomes Creative Producer for Bath Dance
ICIA (Institute of Contemporary Interdisciplinary Arts) at the University of Bath, are pleased to announce the appointment of Lisa Lort as the new Creative Producer for Bath Dance.
Lisa, a Bath resident for eight years, has a wealth of knowledge and experience supporting dance development and will lead on the Arts Council England funded initiative Bath Dance.
Lisa said, “I am honoured to lead on Bath Dance. I believe Bath Dance is going to play a large role in nurturing and supporting the development of dance in B&NES. In this first phase we are keen to connect and map the dance offer in B&NES, identifying key priorities that will support dance to thrive in our local area”
John Struthers, Director of the ICIA, said “we are delighted to be hosting this important role. Lisa will make a real difference to the development of dance in B&NES. Dance activities across the board will benefit from the co-ordinated approach that this role will provide.”
Alongside her role, Lisa continues as Development Manager for Dance South Gloucestershire, overseeing the development of dance in this area. An established individual in the dance south west network, Lisa will use this experience to support the profile of dance in Bath and North East Somerset to link into regional and national opportunities.
Lisa holds a BA in Dance and Related Arts from Chichester University and gained a One Year Certificate in Contemporary Dance at London Contemporary School of Dance.
