Indy Coffee Shops launch Bean Trail
Creatives who love meeting over coffee should visit one of ten independent coffee shops who are participating in a city-wide initiative between now and 15-16 May, when the UK's first ever coffee festival - the Bath Coffee Festival - takes place at the Rec.
The Bath Bean Trail gives you the chance to win a luxurious coffee hamper full of goodies worth over £1,000. All you need to do is visit 5 out of the 10 participating independent coffee shops, get your Bath Bean Trail card signed by the manager (cards available from today at each coffee shop), and then hand your card in at the Festival to be entered into the draw.
Participating coffee shops are:
The Boston Tea Party (Kingston Parade) Café Parisien (Milsom Place) Café Retro (York Street) Café Shoon (Old Bond Street) Carpuccino (mobile coffee van located in Charlotte Street car park weekdays 7am – 10am) The Green Park Brasserie (Green Park Station) Kindling Coffee (Claverton Buildings, Widcombe) Riverside Café (Argyle Street, next to the Weir) Roscoff Deli (Northumberland Place) Time Out Espresso Snack Bar (The Guildhall Market)
Linda Donaldson, organiser of the Bath Coffee Festival comments; “You get a very different coffee experience depending on where you buy your coffee in Bath. The independent coffee shops tend to all use different roasters, beans, blends and techniques, which make the end result taste very different."
Mike Watts, director of the Time Out Espresso Snack Bar in The Guildhall Market said; “We have a wonderful array of coffee shops in Bath serving high quality coffees and it is great to be able to celebrate this and encourage customers to sample the different blends available around the city. It’s a fun way for businesses and locals to support the festival and help make it a success.”
