Fringe Arts Bath Needs You
Fringe Arts Bath is looking for artists and performers to contribute to its 2010 visual arts festival.
The festival will take place from Friday May 28th to Sunday June 13th, and is designed to promote contemporary art in the Bath area and beyond. The events showcase early career artists and curators, and those who find it difficult to break into (or prefer to operate outside of) the gallery based art scene. FAB is looking for people to get involved in the following events:
Group shows: Covering performance, intervention, installation, multi-media and video work through to photography, drawing, painting and sculpture.
The FAB art fair: Artists and print makers of all types are invited to take a pitch at this contemporary fair.
The annual FAB photo-marathon: Open to both amateurs and professionals, and the results will be exhibited during the FAB fortnight.
The committee selected show: Artists working in film, photography and multimedia are invited to submit proposals for new location responsive works, for exhibition.
Falling/Fooling: FAB is looking for volunteers to collaborate on this exhibition, which has a ‘falling/fooling’ theme.
Here Today Gone Tomorrow: This could be a new project or existing work - all media is welcomed.
The Romanian spirit and culture: Combining street acts and performances, Romanian cuisine and a visual art exhibition.
The FAB Book project: Curated by the FAB committee, the book will include highlights from the 2010 festival.
Open call for film, photography, video works and performance art: The ‘FAB social’ - a night of curated chaos featuring the best performance, short films, projection and intervention.
