A new charity arts trail featuring toilet signs created by celebrities, artists and local schoolchildren launches this week in Bath.

Stella McCarteny, Kenneth Brannagh, Sienna Miller and The Duchess of York are amongst the celebrities who have designed distinctive toilet signs for the Doorway to Dignity trail

The project aims to drive awareness of sanitation needs in the third world, and raise funds for eco-sanitation toilets for 20,000 of the poorest people in south-eastern India.

The artworks are currently on show at 19 venues around the city, from shops and businesses to public buildings until 28th February.   People are being invited to walk the trail, enjoy the artworks, and make a donation via the charity’s website at www.doorwaytodignity.org

The Doorway to Dignity project has been created by Limpley-Stoke charity, Whatever the Need.  Later this year, organisers hope to hold an auction of the works to raise £200,000 for the project.
