Bath agencies get into burlesque
A team of Bath design agencies was recently required to immerse itself in the fabulous world of burlesque whilst developing www.deadlyisthefemale.com, the online shop for the Frome-based boutique of the same name.
Manage my website, a web consultancy and project management agency based in Bath and Corsham, led the project. Their brief was to provide Deadly is the Female with distinctive new branding, followed by a slick new website with full e-commerce functionality. The shop's owner, Claudia Kapp, was very clear about the film noir look she wanted, whilst the tone was set with words and phrases such as 'passion', 'glamour', 'style' and 'releasing your inner Femme Fatale'.
Manage my Website delivered exactly what the client wanted, collaborating with a range of Bath agencies throughout the job. Laura James from Kinetic Pulse and Adam Wyatt from Flipside Studio created the design and built the site, whilst Carys Tait from Carys-Ink created the illustration on the new logo, which incorporates the shop’s pet dog, Gomez. The website went live at the end of June.
Manage my Website provides a consultancy, copywriting and project management service, utilising a range of external UK-based web programmers, web designers, and graphic designers.
Deadly is the Female sells burlesque and vintage style clothing, shoes and accessories. The boutique is located on Catherine Hill, Frome. Last weekend live models dressed in 50s glamour appeared in each of the shop windows, as part of the St Catherine's Artisan Market. Deadly is the Female will also be taking part in the upcoming Frome Fashion Show on 12 July. The boutique is open Wednesday to Saturdays, 11 - 5 (from 10am on Saturdays). www.deadlyisthefemale.com
