Look Out Glastonbury - Rainham Festival May Come About

Posted by Natasha Sexton in News on Friday 20th August 2010. Tagged with Rainham, Kent, Festival, Music.

Many in Kent would love to go to Glastonbury but for some it is just too far. Well this may all change as there are plans to start a big new music festival right here in Kent.

Andy Weir who is the Director of Dryspace Structures is currently gaining permission to run a large music festival in Westmoor Park, Rainham. Dryspace Structures have the experience and expertise needed in running a large event as they have provided many structures for various large events including Vintage Goodwood and The Gadget Show NEC.

The organisers are hoping to have big name acts as well as local bands and DJs. They need as much support as possible to convince Medway Council that Rainham Festival is wanted for 2011. You can help to support the project by liking their Facebook page under Rainham Festival and also by following them on Twitter under @rainhamfestival
