The Illustrative Workshop: Art, Fashion,Photography
In February 2012, Edinburgh based artist Christine Clark launches her all new workshop: an intensive one day course which will give you the chance to immerse yourself in the world of Fashion, Art and Life Drawing.
The inaugural course is called FUSED and begins with a stunning fashion installation combining fashion garments from designer Judy R Clark with an eclectic mix of shoes, lamps, fabrics, found objects, photographs and ornate clothing to provide an exciting space for the Life Model and participants to work from – exciting times.
The Workshop is a one day intensive course designed to improve drawing skills, support the study of other courses, help build a portfolio for higher education.
Equally there is an opportunity for those interested in the world of 'fashion meets art' to come along to have some fun and explore new techniques.
A varied selection of different archives, magazines and imagery will also be available.
Classes will be of a relaxed informal nature where students should feel free to experiment and discuss new techniques and ideas in a creative space, with guidance and help from the tutor. Materials, easels and drawing boards will be provided.
The concept will change monthly inviting you back for a different experience within the Workshop.
The event will take place at WASPS Studios 2/3West Park Lane, Dalry Road Edinburgh EH11 2DP between 11am - 5pm on 25th and 26th February ( last weekend of every month, please choose Sat or Sun) and will cost £60. To find out more visit their blog.
