What is Creative Boom?

Launched in 2009, Creative Boom is an online magazine dedicated to celebrating, inspiring and supporting the creative industries.

Attracting around half a million readers each month*, we promote the very best work from the fields of art, graphic design, illustration, photography, film, and any other form of visual communication – to champion graduates, independents, freelancers and agencies not just in the UK but across the globe.

We also offer helpful tips and advice, showcase interesting workspaces, highlight the latest creative resources, and share job and freelance opportunities through our own jobs board.

Extending beyond a creative's work life, we also love to cover play – featuring travel and cultural ideas and inspirations that would appeal to any creative heart and mind.

Creative Boom was founded by its editor Katy Cowan, a creative from Cheshire who also runs Boomerang, an independent PR agency in Manchester.

Creative Boom's community

Since its launch, Creative Boom has built a loyal and international community of creators, freelancers, artists, independents, agencies, galleries, universities and relevant brands... or just people who love all things creative.

With around 70,000 Twitter followers and around 30,000 'likes' on our Facebook Page, we're also very active on social media and, over the past six years, have become a leading resource for the creative industries, attracting advertisers such as BBC, Adobe, Yahoo, Vimeo, Samsung and Jaguar.
