Go See This is a new ace-looking events listings website which has launched in Greater Manchester with a view to spreading the word about excellent events being put on in the multitude of theatres, cinemas and galleries across the city and its suburbs.

Created by All About Audiences, a North West-based audience development agency, Go See This aims to be a one stop shop for cultural Mancunians and visitors to the city who are looking for something to suit their taste.  It also allows visitors to book tickets through the site, making the sales process as simple as possible to boost advance bookings.  The site was funded by the Northwest Regional Development Agency as well as Renaissance North West.

Visitors to the site can search for events using a set of cultural preferences which they can save, which the website uses to show the visitor events which they are more likely to be interested in.  The website can also suggest weekend itineraries to fit a timescale, perfect for visitors planning a weekend of culture, or residents who want to make the most of their spare time.

Nick Brooks-Sykes, Director of Tourism at the NWDA, said: “Arts and culture are an important part of the visitor offer here in England’s Northwest and by integrating Go See This with Visit Manchester, we can offer visitors and residents an easy way to plan and book great days out across Greater Manchester. We hope that this collaborative project will lead the way for other arts organisations and tourist boards across the region to work together on similar projects.”

Ivan Wadeson, Chief Executive of All About Audiences comments: “We want http://www.goseethis.com to be the site people automatically go to when they’re planning their free time and have designed it to make it as informative, visually stimulating and interactive as possible to achieve this. We think it will genuinely help people discover a whole new range of things to do in the city region and will be especially useful for people who are unsure about what to go and see.”

All the major cultural venues in the city and wider Greater Manchester region are already listed on the site including Imperial War Museum North, Manchester Art Gallery, the Royal Exchange, The Lowry, Contact, Band on the Wall, The Met in Bury, Octagon Bolton, Oldham Coliseum and with more to follow throughout 2010.
