Following a string of awards success during the last twelve months, Chester-based De Winter PR & Design has started the New Year in style by being shortlisted for no less than 16 Golden Hedgehog PR awards, including Agency of the Year.

The awards are organised by industry magazine PR Moment and sponsored by the UK’s professional body PRCA to celebrate outstanding PR campaigns throughout the UK.

de Winter’s nominations cover work on behalf of several clients including the University of Chester, Liverpool’s Trigon Snacks and Golden Square Shopping Centre in Warrington.

Campaigns for Golden Square have been shortlisted in categories including Consumer PR Campaign of the Year, Low Budget Campaign of the Year, Best Use of Evaluation, Event of the Year, Community Engagement Campaign of the Year and Integrated Communications Campaign of the Year.

The Social Media Campaign shortlisting recognises the agency’s success in promoting Golden Square’s online fashion magazine, Go-style.

de Winter’s contribution to the launch of Riverside Innovation Centre on behalf of the University of Chester has been shortlisted for Public Sector Campaign of the Year.

de Winter’s Trigon Snacks campaign, ‘De Winter goes Nuts’, saw the agency gain brand awareness for BigD Nuts through the BigD Babehunt. The campaign has been shortlisted in the Low Budget Campaign of the Year, Consumer PR Campaign of the Year and Event of the Year categories.

Newly-promoted Account Manager Jenna Vernon, 23, has been shortlisted for the Golden Hoglet award, which recognises individuals within the industry for their creativity and leadership of successful PR campaigns.

“What a fantastic start to the New Year for the team,” said de Winter PR Managing Director, Kate Cox. “The nominations are a fitting reward for the team’s hard work in delivering sustainable success for our clients across many sectors.”

Winners for the North, Northern Ireland and Scotland will be announced at an awards evening at the Etihad City of Manchester Stadium on Wednesday, 21 March.
