The Vine is Shortlisted for a CIPR PRide Award

Falmouth-based, PR and Marketing agency The Vine has been shortlisted in this year’s CIPR PRide awards. Its Beyond the Sea PR campaign for Open Studios Cornwall 2011 is shortlisted in the ‘Best Campaign £10,000 and Under’ category for the West of England region.

The Vine gained a wealth of coverage in national and local press for the Open Studios Cornwall event 2011. The Vine team also harness the power of video to highlight the unique experience of Open Studios Cornwall. The Creative Skills team received in-house social media training from The Vine in order to equip them with the skills needed to build its community online and promote the event beyond the Southwest. The campaign increased visitors to the event by 33% and brought over 8,000 new visitors to the Creative Skills website during the duration of campaign.

CIPR PRide Awards have grown in strength and stature, recognising public relations success and achievement in the nations and regions. This year there were in excess of 1,000 entries to the awards.

Lotte Mahon, Head Honcho at The Vine commented: “We always welcome the opportunity to include social media and online PR alongside traditional public relations at The Vine and this campaign allowed us to utilise all of our core services. The Creative Skills team embraced our ideas, which included Open Studios Cornwall venturing into online video for the first time. I’m very proud of my team for their dedication to all of our clients, and this nomination is testament to their creativity and hard work.”

Commenting on the PRide shortlist, Jane Wilson CIPR CEO said: "The CIPR PRide Awards celebrate the best PR and campaigns from the profession across the UK. To be shortlisted for an Award demonstrates exemplary achievement, impact and value – immediately putting their work in the spotlight. Congratulations to everyone for reaching this stage."

This month The Vine celebrates its third year in business and has welcomed a new addition, Account Executive, Hannah Pilpel to the team. Being shortlisted for the CIPR PRide Awards is another leap forward for this up and coming agency.

The Vine team are now looking forward to attending the awards ceremony which will take place at The Bristol Hotel (Bristol) on Friday 21st October 2011.
