The Bank produces music video for launch of new London act BOXES

New UK act BOXES has appointed the advertising, film and live events agency, The Bank, to create the official music video for debut single ‘Throw Your Stones’.

Known for their cinematography on advertising campaigns including Peroni Nastro Azzurro’s summer campaign, as well as a beautifully crafted Pilsner Urquell film, ‘The day Pilsen struck gold’, The Bank was tasked with creating a concept music video that would reflect the indy-rock act’s quirky personality.

Led by The Bank’s star director duo ‘JonJai’ (Jonathan Briggs and Jai Harji), the video features celebrity appearances from radio personalities Dermot O’Leary, Zoe Ball and Michelin starred chef, Heston Blumenthal. This is the star duo’s first joint venture with editing, graphics, production, animation and direction all undertaken under one roof, in-house at The Bank.

JonJai, in a joint statement said: “We’re not just a conventional agency so it’s fantastic when we get the opportunity to demonstrate that with projects like ‘Throw Your Stones’. Everything, from conception to post production was done in-house which gave us the control and creative freedom to really own this project. The Bank has always had its roots in music and so working with cutting edge recording artists like Carey Willets seems like a natural extension of the agency and a chance to nurture what we’re passionate about.”

Carey Willetts, of solo-act BOXES, added: “JonJai are a dream team. The chemistry was instant and together we have created something that I am very proud of. I will remember them when I’m famous.”

The Bank’s origins began in music with its two founding members Rob Boughton and Ian Cassie having previously produced videos and music promos for Psychedelic Furs, Art Garfunkel, The Buggles, Steve Harley and Bucks Fizz in the early 80s.

‘Throw Your Stones’ is now out on Bow Records.
