Statue of Wisdom to be unveiled in Hawarden!

The beautiful St-Deiniol's Library

A new statue will be unveiled on the lawns of St Deiniol’s Library, Hawarden, Flintshire at 3.30pm on Saturday 11th September.

The statue of Wisdom has been created by Tom Waugh, a sculptor and architectural stone carver based in Somerset.

He trained at the City and Guilds of London Art School and has been the recipient of scholarships from the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust and the Princes Foundation.

Tom has worked on a number of important public buildings including St Paul’s Cathedral, St Martin-in-the-Fields and St George’s Chapel, Windsor.

The statue will join the four stone benches which were carved by Tom last year.

There is no charge for this event but afternoon tea may be purchased afterwards in the Coffee Shop.
