Leicestershire County Council are looking for an initial 3 artists to work up ideas for the Birstall Park & Ride site (for a fee of £1000 each) from which they will select a final design. They need an artist who is experienced in creating and delivering and managing the installation of large scale public realm work. The final project budget will be approx £40,000.
Birstall Park and Ride site, on the A6 to the north of Leicester City, is a new development across the road from a substantial new housing development, Hallam Fields. The park and ride will bring this new community together with the existing local community and provide an important link for local residents and visitors to the city centre.
