Photographer cooks up a storm

A Dorset photographer has created a striking set of images using spaghetti and food colour. Some of the shots feature sceneries such as a stormy sea and a waterfall. Others combine peppercorns and linguine to create abstract forms.

Photographer Sarah Peace began the series whilst exploring ways in which to transfer her line drawings into photographic visual forms.

Although the entire creation is edible, Sarah often throws away heaps of pasta after much prodding they become subject to during set up and shooting. The process involves using alcohol, confectioners glaze and colour to create variety in shades of the spaghetti strips.

The 24 year old has recently been shortlisted by Wild in Art to paint a Lion sculpture for the Pride in Bournemouth summer exhibition. Her design,

Off Road Parking along with other shortlisted artworks is currently on display at the Lion’s Den in Richmond Gardens.
