More than 55,000 members of social and business network 4Networking celebrated reaching a milestone in February – 6 years since the launch of the first 4Networking group.
That first group has now become 306 groups including 4 recent launches in Northern Ireland and a move last year to expand to Australia. But the organisation’s founder, entrepreneur Brad Burton, is planning still more exciting changes this year.
“We have just launched evening networking meetings to add to our traditional breakfast meetings, for those who can’t make breakfasts” Brad commented. “We have had great success in 2012 with Make it Happen Mondays – training & motivation sessions that give businesses the tools and confidence to make changes, straight away.”
It’s that sort of straight talking belief and action that led Brad to write his acclaimed series of books “Get off your Arse”, affectionately known on Twitter as Goya. “I’ve been there and done it myself so I understand how hard it is setting up and running your own business. 4networking provides the social, networking and knowledge support that does make a difference.”
Plenty of 4Networking members can testify to that. Sam Swinstead set up her company Vivo HR in Hampshire in 2011 and credits 4N with providing 70% of her new business income. Sam attends many of the South Coast’s 22 groups and its 300 members conducted over £100,000 of business together in 2011.
