Music Futures: A new music industry conference

A new music industry conference focusing on the impact of technology and innovation in the music industry comes to The Carriageworks on Wednesday 30th March.

Music Futures, co-hosted by Screen Yorkshire and Generator, the UK’s leading music development agency, in association with Higher Rhythm, brings together experts from the UK's largest music businesses and trade bodies to discuss innovation and future business models.

Featuring representatives from Universal Music, AIM, Music Ally, PRS for Music, MMF and the Musicians’ Union, along with experts in the fields of digital marketing, music distribution, licensing and branding; Music Futures aims to uncover new business models and look at emerging markets within the music industry. It will invite feedback from musicians and businesses in attendance.

Damian Baetens, Business Development Director, Generator comments: “This is an amazing opportunity for music businesses in Yorkshire. We’re especially pleased to have been able to assemble such varied and knowledgeable panels including industry leaders and people working at the forefront of new digital developments. Generator have been delivering similar events in the North East to support music businesses since 2003 and formally launched Plugged In Yorkshire with support from Screen Yorkshire in April last year. This is a milestone event for Plugged In Yorkshire and an opportunity not to be missed for Yorkshire Music Businesses to strengthen connections with the Industry.’’

Tickets for the full day are priced at £25. For full details and booking, go to: http://www.generator.org.uk/musicfuturesleeds.
