Mud at Glastonbury festival is a given, would it really be the same experience without it?
To highlight their range of gadgets for the imminent festival season SolarGadgetStore.co.uk with Reverse Graffiti advertising have recently implemented the UK’s first ever mud advertising campaign.
The mud stencil adverts appeared around the student areas of Leeds during the weekend of 15/16 May and literally had people stopping in their tracks; initially puzzled by what they were seeing and then amazed at the unique style of application. As soon as adverts were being applied the guerrilla team were approached by students, who were excited by the refreshing, new medium.
Eco friendly SolarGadgetStore.co.uk love using alternative forms of advertising and have worked with Reverse Graffiti on several campaigns, mainly their clean advertising stencil adverts. They were especially pleased to be the first company in the UK to use the unique mud advertising method.
“We had a great response from the reverse graffiti campaigns and were delighted to be asked to work with them on their first ever mud stencil campaign. It was a perfect opportunity to promote our summer festival offers and we also love the organic, eco friendly nature of the method which is important to our brand” Shelli Walsh, director of SolarGadgetStore.
Mud stencils can last over a week dependent on weather and footfall. The application uses only a mixture of mud and water with no chemicals. The success of the application is down to the experience of Reverse Graffiti; knowing which surfaces work the best and where to apply the stencil for maximum benefit.
