McCann Erickson Central scoops Vauxhall

McCann Erickson Central has scooped the Vauxhall Aftersales business after a competitive pitch, it was announced this week, adding significant billings to the Midlands agency’s existing work for the leading car manufacturer.

Taking in above and below the line work, McCann will deliver POS, advertising, digital and direct mail support for Vauxhall’s service, bodyshop and accessory channels across its UK network of almost 500 dealerships.

Dean Lovett, CEO of McCann Erickson Central, said: “It really bears testament to the standard of the work McCann is already doing for Vauxhall that they have extended our contract significantly.

“It’s a fantastic start to our New Year. We couldn’t be prouder to be working for Vauxhall at such an exciting time for the brand, given their recent pledge to sponsor all home nations FA activity.”

In September 2010, McCann Erickson Birmingham landed its biggest ever win with its appointment to Vauxhall’s Retail, Brand and Accessories business, and will now look to strengthen the Vauxhall team at Communications House.

Andrew Curley, Aftersales Marketing Manager for Vauxhall, said: “McCann Erickson Central’s experience in the automotive industry was integral to its successful pitch last year – and the team’s subsequent work on our Retail, Brand and Accessories business has proven that their market leading reputation is well earned, as is this latest win and their rightful place as one of Vauxhall’s most significant marketing partners.”
