Manchester writer-director Dan K. Smyth needs your help!

Dan K. Smyth is an upcoming writer-director from Manchester who’s debut short film ‘The Mess Hall of an Online Warrior’received official selection at South By South-West Film Festival, the Coup de Coeur Award at the Cannes Short Film corner, and a commendation at the Buxton Film Festival, in 2010.

Following this success, Dan’s managed to secure a modest amount of funding from Vision+Media and the UK Film council to develop a new film entitled F-HOLE, about a reclusive violin-maker in conflict with his distressed father. However there’s a small catch, in order to secure the full financial support of the Film Council, Dan needs to match the funding by 30% percent. Dan was hoping Creative Boom readers might be interested in helping out and becoming part of, what will hopefully be, a very successful project.
