Magpie Market and Spider and the Fly Workshops

Cardi-hole Surgery & Jean-etic Engineering

Is your favourite cardigan tired and worn out? Give it a new lease of life with some cardi-hole surgery . . .

Not so much Make Do and Mend, but Mend and Make Fabulous!

Week 1: Fix & darn holes, make some fancy patches and generally transform your cardi back into one piece.

Week 2: Make that cardi beautiful again! Choose some fabulous buttons, embroider on some patterns and make your other cardigans jealous.

Week 3: Jean-etic Engineering: patch up and fix your holey jeans in a rather beautiful way.

You will be provided with expert tuition from Ellen Munro and learn the skills you need to patch, darn, embroider and sew, amongst other techniques.

You will also be provided with tea & biscuits.

Magpie Market The next Magpie Market will take place on Sunday 10th October, with more great handmade, craft, art, illustration & vintage sellers.

Last time, Magpie gave away fantastic free goodie bags to the first 50 people through the door. Again, they are looking for small items to go into the goodie bags – you can submit one or 50, or any amount in between.

Magpie would prefer something other than just a business card or postcard, but obviously anything submitted should have your business details all over it. It's a great way of getting straight into buyers hands. This time round, anybody submitting to the goodie bag will also get a blog mention.
