magneticNorth are pinball wizards at the BBC

Manchester interactive design company, magneticNorth, has launched a new website for the BBC called Pinball.

The site at www.bbc.co.uk/pinball is a radical set of free online tools designed to inspire the process of creative thinking.

Aimed at everyone from school teachers and agency teams to musicians and internal BBC staff, the site looks to provide a playful way to generate creative ideas online.

Kate Towey, from magneticNorth, explained: "It might be used by a teacher in a classroom environment to help a class generate ideas for a school project or by a brand team looking to generate ideas for names for a new product launch. It is designed to be used by anyone and everyone.

"And it's the first idea generation tool of its kind to be offered for free to the public by the BBC."

Pinball is magneticNorth's third site launch for the BBC this year. The design company launched www.bbc.co.uk/memoryshare in May and BBC Earth - a project for BBC Worldwide in March. It's not viewable in the UK but you can see it via their own website here http://mnatwork.com/Earth.
