The recent Public & Political Life Awards honoured communications agency ITS PR with the coveted ‘Newcomer of the Year’ Award at the House of Commons.

At the young age of 26, founder of ITS PR, Sheena Bhattessa stands apart from her peers, having achieved great success early on. The award was presented by American civil rights leader Reverend Jesse Jackson, who was also rewarded Lifetime Achievement award. The Public and Political Life Awards are awarded annually to people who have made a special impact in the preceding 12 months, ranging from international politicians to individuals who have made a big difference in their chosen fields and communities.

Other awards include Evening Standard’s Joe Murphy for Parliamentary Journalist of the Year, Rt.Hon. Ed Balls MP for Minister of the Year, Rt Hon David Cameron MP for Politician of the Year,Nitin Ganatra for TV Personality of the Year, among others.

After working with big brands across food and travel, drink, retail and beauty, publishing and lifestyle sectors, a huge problem facing most companies was the large monthly retainers they were paying, with little creativity, flair and results PR on a month-to-month basis. And so was born ITS PR. ITS PR focused on accommodating fees, providing everything that a larger agency does.

As well as British markets, accessing Asian, North American and markets further afield is provided with ITS PR, as well as companies accessing British markets. In speaking about the award, founder of ITS PR Sheena Bhattessa says, “I am truly honoured and humbled at being recognised so early on. It’s not an easy time to set up but as long as you find a way to help others excel in their businesses, you in turn will excel in yours. International communications is a big deal, as well as localised plans, and ensuring nothing is neglected, there is space for every good brand to succeed.”

Sheena said: "You have to be one step ahead of the news, other businesses, and never miss opportunity. With PR, another door may not come knocking."

ITS PR has grown beyond initial expectations, based down to the unexpected high demand for PR by both growing and established companies, and the results achieved by a small yet hard-working and accommodating team at ITS PR.

ITS PR covers PR, Marketing and brand management, events, with development to diversity outreach. Starting in a small home office, ITS PR is branching out to employ several individuals in diverse backgrounds to cover charity and defence, among other sectors.
