Fiction Express is an entirely new concept in book publishing that gives teenage readers the opportunity to vote on what happens next.
The novels, which are readable on PCs, smartphones and tablets, enable readers to interact with the authors in a way that has never been done before.
Every Friday a new chapter of each of the four current books is released – with a total of 11 chapters. At the end of each section readers are given the opportunity to vote on what happens next. Once voting closes on the following Monday, each author will write the next chapter of their book based on the results of the vote.
The first chapter of each book is free and subsequent episodes can be purchased for as little as 59p.
According to Paul Humphrey, Publisher of Fiction Express: “As a publisher of books to teenagers, our primary concern is with getting more young people reading. It’s clear that today’s kids are interested in both reading books in electronic formats and influencing what they are reading – they do not want to be given a book to read, they want to interact with it and be a part of it. ‘
