Kids learn how to entertain with exclusive summer comedy and dance workshops at Dance HQ.
Dance HQ is offering unique summer comedy and dance workshops for kids aged 7-16. Starting Monday 4th July until Thursday 4th August 2011 the workshops will run for five weeks and will take place in the spacious New York loft style studios situated in Glasgow’s famous Templeton Carpet Factory at Glasgow Green. The workshops will give kids the opportunity to be creative, boost their confidence and have fun as well as having something interesting to do over the summer.
Dance HQ is the only venue in Glasgow to combine comedy and dance for kids and is open to people of all backgrounds. The summer school is made up of Summer Laughs & Summer Moves combining fun with some very useful skills for kids. Summer Laughs, the comedy workshop, will develop confidence and language skills as well as hopefully producing Glasgow’s next successful stand up comedian. Summer Moves is the dance workshop where a range of fresh new routines will take centre stage to some great tunes. On top of keeping the kids healthy and energised this workshop will allow kids to learn varied dance styles including hip hop, contemporary and jazz.
Dance HQ’s studios are one of a kind and bring a taste of the Big Apple to Glasgow. The studios create an instant celebrity style atmosphere that will make young people extra keen to take centre stage and shine. Dance HQ summer workshops will inspire Glasgow’s youngsters and allow them to meet new friends during the process.
After the summer workshops Dance HQ will be launching Blaze Dance Academy for kids. This will give the young people from the Summer Laughs & Summer Moves workshops the opportunity to become professional performers making Glasgow and, most importantly, themselves proud.
