QUAD is offering free practical Creative and Media Training Courses throughout November.
Each course will be delivered over two days at QUAD's digital studio, with participants working to an event based brief, and are suitable for unemployed adults, graduates, people disadvantaged in training, education and the labour market. The courses will cover:
Graphic Design - "Design your own promotional material" Covering how to follow guidelines for a brand, create accessible and clear layouts, utilise professional graphic design software Adobe InDesign to design a document. Course dates: 18th-19th November (9.30am-4.30pm), 29th-30th November (9.30am-4.30pm)
Audio Production - "Make your own on-line radio programme" Covering how to use radio/sound recording, use radio/pod-casting communication techniques, use audio production hardware and software. Course dates: 23rd-24th November (9.30am-4.30pm)
Video Production - "Document events through filming and editing" Covering how to film interviews and record sound, use video production hardware and software, film and edit footage. Course dates: 25th-26th November (9.30am-4.30pm)
These courses are ideally suitable for local people in Derby seeking employment; Graduates taking their first steps into employment or those working in the creative industries/freelancers.
