Entertainers and performers get chance to go on TV

It’s time for the X-Factor to move over – a new service has been launched allowing actors and performers to broadcast their own TV show, with full production support.

Beeon.tv has set up professional studios near Waterloo in London and is inviting entertainers, musicians, poets, performers, actors, directors and dramatists to get the professional support they need to broadcast their own work.

Says Howard Jamieson, founder of Beeontv: "We provide the studio, the lighting, the cameras, even make-up and hair styling with assistance from seasoned professionals. Showcase TV will broadcast the programmes people make on Saturday evening from 6pm on Sky 216. The programme can be re-watched on our internet site (www.beeon.tv) and we provide a high definition video with full copyright to keep."

Mr Jamieson - whose career spans broadcasting and theatre production - says the idea is not only aimed at professionals within the entertainment and performance industries, but a consumer audience too.

"We’ve been getting approaches from people wanting to make something simply to entertain their friends and even from people wanting to propose on TV. The potential for people’s television is enormous. The fact they have a professional support team means that people can concentrate on their creative idea, be assured of quality, and without the obstacles to making it happen."

With fees from only £250 the exercise makes professional standards available at affordable rates. People wanting to know more should go to www.beeon.tv or contact Howard on howard@beeon.tv.
