The Y Not Festival in the heart of the Peak District, Derbyshire is gearing up for another exciting summer and will be releasing a limited number of early bird tickets on Tuesday 1st February. These tickets will be priced at £55 per person for the whole weekend and children under 12 years of age go free. Once early bird tickets are gone a standard ticket will cost £65 for the full weekend.
The festival raises the profile of local bands by offering them the chance to play in front of a 5000 capacity audience alongside great nationally established acts. This year 30% of the slots have been reserved for local bands.
The first local band to be confirmed is The Rash – a 4-piece band from Ashbourne, Derbyshire. The Rash play an intriguing blend of folk and eastern styled acoustic music, whilst drawing heavily on influences such as Simon and Garfunkel and the Beach Boys and make use of all 4 voices harmonizing in their songs.
The Y Not Festival is an independent music festival, which promises great value for money, a fantastic line up and a great atmosphere. This year the festival will be licensed for 4999 people and takes place on Friday 5th – Sunday 7th August 2011. Tickets can be purchased via www.ynotfestivals.com from 1st February 2011.
