Creative production agency Hangar Seven, which has studios in Macclesfield (Cheshire) and London, scooped two awards in one night as it was crowned Production Agency of the Year at the 2011 Marketing Industry Network Awards and named Young Business of the Year at the Manchester Evening News Business of the Year Awards 2011
The Manchester Evening News Business of the Year Awards’ ceremony was hosted by Alastair Campbell at The Point, Old Trafford; while other members of the team also donned black ties and went along to the Mecure (formerly The Radisson Hotel) in Manchester for the Marketing Industry Network Awards.
These are the first industry awards Hangar Seven has entered and come on the back of a phenomenal year for the agency, which provides room set photography, year-round location shoots at its facility in Portugal, advertising production, fashion photography, design and artwork for catalogues and brochures as well as video and advertising production.
The agency was only established in 2009, headed by a team of highly experienced media professionals, including directors Nick Aldrich, Andy Rosson and Jeremy Middleton, and its growth has been spectacular.
It is now recognised as one of the leading agencies of its type in the UK, and has attracted some of the UK’s leading brands including B&Q, DFS, M&S, adidas and WH Smith.
Hangar Seven director Nick Aldrich said: “These awards are the icing on the cake for a phenomenal year. We are continually adapting the business to client’s needs and market opportunities, with this year alone the addition of a new fashion division, new premises in London, additional team members and two-fold growth of our location photography facility in Portugal.
“The recognition is testament to the hard work of the entire team. We’re very optimistic about what 2012 might hold.”
