Creative Boom set to celebrate its first birthday!
Can you believe it? Creative Boom celebrates its first birthday in July, the exact anniversary date being the 24th July.
Time has flown by and we've already enjoyed 12 months of supporting, celebrating and hopefully inspiring the creative industries throughout the UK. That's whether you're in design, film, animation, marketing, PR, art, crafts, pottery, theatre, dance, journalism... anything and everything to do with being creative.
As many of you know, Creative Boom was started by myself and husband Tom Cowan last July. We were on honeymoon in Crete when I suddenly had the idea to create my own online magazine.
As a digital PR company, we were fed up with the lack of support out there for small businesses such as ourselves. That's when we decided to do something about it and here we are - nearly 12 months down the line with a national website; 25 regional Hubs and a free jobs board. It's been an absolute whirlwind. Hard work but hugely enjoyable.
To celebrate our first birthday, we've got lots of things in store for the month of July... But we need your help!
We are offering designers, illustrators and artists the chance to create exclusive birthday banners not just for Creative Boom's national site but all 25 regional Hubs. The designs will then remain on our site for the entire month of July. Fantastic free advertising for the lucky chosen ones.
