CCT Interiors delivers a brand new gym concept to Lomax Fitness, using industrial materials to create a new breed of gym space.
The space, in London Victoria, offered a unique challenge to the CCT Interiors Design team. The complex brief required the designers to maximise space, light and functionality, without compromising on the aesthetics.
The Design Team, led by CCT Interiors Head of Design, Colin Owen, worked closely with Lomax Fitness to create the concept, offsetting traditional gym equipment with industrial scaffolding to create a unique fitness space.
Colin Owen, Head of Design at CCT Interiors comments:
“Gym environments can be sterile and lack personality and often there is little to tell them apart. The challenge was to imbue the space with the culture and ethos of Lomax Fitness – one with a new approach to the gym experience.”
He adds: “It made good sense to use materials that could be tailored for a variety of activities. After research and development, we realised that no one piece of gym equipment could offer what Lomax needed. By using building scaffolding and raw materials in a totally new way, the gym immediately sets itself apart and allowed us to create something that could be tailored for different clients whilst still upholding the values of the brand.”
Jonathan Lomax, Founder and CEO of Lomax Fitness comments: “The brief we gave CCT Interiors was a tough one, but the design perfectly reflected my vision for the business: creating three unique, market-first, design based experiences for my customers, which have genuinely grown my revenue potential."
He adds: “Turning a 3000 square foot office space in to a holistic fitness, nutrition and well being facility was a real challenge but the final product has given us a unique facility while keeping within our budget. We are now looking forward to the roll out of this design in other Lomax facilities.”
