It has not gone unnoticed that women entrepreneurs are making a considerable difference in enhancing the economy, but are they getting the support they need for their business to succeed Helping the region’s women get the best out of the world of business, the success of The Business Woman’s Network has taken East Anglia by storm. It has become a much-needed foundation for every woman with the desire to start or grow a business, providing access to appropriate help, support and an essential network of contacts.
The Business Woman’s Network, (BWN) founded in Essex, two years ago by Mandie Holgate a Business Confidence Coach, through demand, has recently extended its network across East Anglia. Originally the BWN was only held monthly at Five Lakes, Nr Maldon. Earlier this year it launched at Lexden Wood, Colchester and The Waterfront Place, Chelmsford. In June it was Norfolk’s turn with the help of Independent Arbonne Consultant, Bridget Greenwood but in September the organisation launches in Suffolk at Stoke by Nayland Hotel and in Hertfordshire.
The success of this independent organisation has to be attributed to a number of factors; its strapline ‘as passionate about your success as you are’ is always at the core of every meeting. Mandie has been able to secure presentations from some of the country’s finest business entrepreneurs and millionaire mentors including Steve Clarke, Peter Cook, Ron G Holland, Richard Jackson of Mancroft International and many others. The meetings are kept informal and friendly but are proactive and always offer an element of effective networking or business support from presentation and writing skills to social media and business or financial advice. Much of this information comes from the knowledge of the attendees many who are successful business women in their own right. One BWN member, Jacqueline Long of Whatever. Wherever. Wrote; ‘You have supported and inspired me beyond anything I could have imagined.’ However, Mandie is always keen to offer more, help more and bring something different to the meetings from flying chocolate and a charity business card raffle to a touch of jewellery sparkle - but always with women in mind.
Mandie says, ‘the organisation’s success is driven by its ability to cater for what women want; a relaxed and welcoming environment, informal networking, interactive fun workshops, inspiring guest speakers with no pressure, no block outs and no membership fees.’
All the meetings start at 10am until 12noon, proving a focused agenda followed by the opportunity to network further over lunch.
