Boy Band Comes to Hangar Seven for Arena Tour Video

It was a top secret gig, but top UK boy band JLS made a visit to Macclesfield-based photography and creative production studio Hangar Seven to film video footage for the group’s current UK Arena Tour.

London’s Blink TV was responsible for the screen visuals (directed by Andy Saunders and producer Joanna Brew) and spent a full day filming Oritsé, JB, Aston and Marvin in sets specially created by Hangar Seven in its 30,000 ft studios.

The footage is now appearing on the huge stage screens behind JLS as they perform at their UK Arena concerts.

Nick Aldrich, Hangar Seven Director, said: “The fact that JLS’ production team chose our facilities is testament to the quality of our set build capabilities and studio space, which benefit many top name retailers in the UK and now a smash hit boy band. We undoubtedly have some of the best facilities in the UK for a wide variety of set photography and TV/commercial filming work.

He added: “JLS’ visit caused quite a stir among our staff – who were sworn to secrecy about the filming due to the number of screaming girls we would have got outside if they knew the lads were coming to town! It’s not everyday you get to work one of the UK’s most popular bands, but the boys were great fun and extremely professional. The results are fantastic.“
