Birmingham Vintage Fair

What started as way of gathering a few select local vintage and handmade businesses under a Jewellery Quarter roof to showcase both their talents and the creativity in the neighbourhood, escalated beyond all expectations.

At the first Birmingham Vintage Fair - created to boost trade for the regions’ own talent, rather than vintage fans buying elsewhere - 32 traders spilled out into two rooms giving over 300 people the opportunity to browse their wares. All were treated to two bands performing, both keeping the 1970s very much alive; Naked Remedy with their psychedelic, bluesy beats and Dakesis performing an electrifying, classic rock set.

In all, well over 300 people enjoyed the afternoon which also included creative workshop and make-up sessions and all were refreshed by the variety of local food providers in the Retro Café.
