Birmingham-based digital agency Fast Fwd Multimedia has recruited experienced marketer and business development expert Matthew Jensen to help drive growth and expand an already strong client-base.
The Fazeley Studios-based business has moved from strength to strength since its launch a year ago, and further to its recent success in completing a prestigious brief for Ann Summers, made the decision to invest in a business development manager to advance the company.
Fast Fwd director Kishen Hawkins, who established the business as a limited company last January after operating as a freelance consultant under the same name for eight years, has ambitions to grow the business despite the tough economy.
He appointed Matthew Jensen, a key figure in the Chambers of Commerce movement, working with SMEs to help them to network and market themselves successfully, to help expand the business.
Kishen said: “Since 2010 Matthew has been involved in helping businesses take advantage of the possibilities that digital marketing presents and is a great believer in social marketing. Matthew is evangelical about using digital media to grow, protect and strengthen brands and as such, he was the perfect person to help move fast Fwd to the next level.
“His ambition for some years now has been to help UK business to grow during a tough economy, making the best possible use of digital technology and focussing on ROI. We aim to harness that knowledge and enthusiasm to drive Fast Fwd into new marketplaces.
“We already have a foothold in the health and retail sectors, with a client base including Ann Summers, the Private Health Partnership and The Princess Grace Hospital, but there are numerous sectors out there that we feel could benefit from our skillset, and Matthew will be helping us reach them,” he added.
Originally from South Africa, Matthew worked in the events and design industry for 10 years, working with renowned national and international brands on some of the country’s biggest public events before relocating to the UK to bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the digital marketing arena.
Matthew said: “Moving to Birmingham was very attractive. The city has such a vibrant atmosphere and a really innovative, creative community. I received numerous approaches with job offers during 2011 but the opportunity at Fast Fwd really stood out as Kishen and I had very much a shared vision for what we could bring to the world of digital media.
“Fast Fwd presented an opportunity to create new products and shape them in my own way. I have been given a lot of creative space here and I am enjoying it. Fast Fwd is a new company, just over a year old but every member of the team is really experienced and brings a lot of ideas to each project. Every brief is exciting and new so we put 110% into it.
“I am excited to be doing more work with mobile apps, particularly for the iPhone and iPad. I believe 2012 is the year that businesses of all sizes embrace mobile channels and this will keep us very busy this year,” he said.
