Birmingham designers shortlisted for major UK award

Birmingham based jewellery artists Magnus and Bella have been shortlisted for ‘New Designer of the Year’ at the UK Jewellery Awards.

The designers wowed judges with their quirky creations – such as a tiny vintage clock parts set into sterling silver cufflinks. Magnus and Bella made it into the top five finalists of the competition, which had over two hundred entries from many established designers.

The pair not only create their own unique designs but also make personalised jewellery for their clients - such as confetti from a wedding set into a bangle, and fur from a dearly beloved pet made into a beautiful ring.

They currently work in Balsall Heath but have outgrown their small studio and are set to relocate to Birmingham's famous jewellery quarter very soon.

You can find out more about them on http://www.magnusandbella.co.uk.

The winner for the award will be announced on 14th July at a special ceremony in London.
