At 'Move It', Dominique will be exhibiting her new dance inspired collection "DANCING- In Pink" which includes specially-designed limited edition garments and accessories for guys, gals and kids - including t-shirts, hoodies, tutus and funky new customized dancewear. The 'Move It' show will take the dance-inspired fashion lines to a wider audience of enthusiasts and professionals who love dance in all its genres. The whole cast of hit children's comedy show 'My Almost Famous Family' will visit the stand on one of the days to sign autographs and for photo opportunities. Additionally, Dominique will debut the new collection in the 'Move It' fashion show which takes place on Thursday 11 March at 4pm for trade visitors only and on Sunday 14 March at 1pm for the general public.
Dominique comments: "Everything I create reflects my personality, the people around me and what's happening in my life at the time. Each range is different and "DANCING- In Pink" is inspired by dance of all styles. Many of my friends are dancers and they always amaze me with the crazy outfits they wear and the shapes they make when they perform. When filming 'My Almost Famous Family, because I play the lead singer of a band, I had to learn a lot of dance routines. It took me back to when I performed on the stage in West end musicals. It was so much fun and was another reason I was determined to launch a dancers' fashion range."
She adds: "Every fashion show I've done has featured spectacular dance numbers. I always use dancers from my old school, the Sylvia Young Theatre School, where I learnt everything I know. I always like to make an impact and bold statements with my designs. Pink is my favourite colour - it brightens up my day... I want everyone to get this feeling when they wear my designs - I want the clothes to brighten up their day. Only a few of the designs are actually pink but I use the words "In Pink" in Braille on the left sleeve of every design."
To show that the clothing line is unisex, the Anita Moore Designs logo depicts a half-woman / half-man put together. The garments are handmade by Dominique or manufactured under Fair Trade using 100% organic combed cotton. They are available to fit a wide range of body types from ages 18 months to 80 years and from XXS to 2XL. All designs feature Braille on the left sleeve. This initiative is supported by the Princes Trust and in conjunction with Action for Blind People, with which Dominique works to help open sports clubs for visually impaired children.
