On Thursday 12 November, the launch night of ‘All I Want for Christmas Cards’ 2009 Project will be held at Arnolfini, Bristol. The evening will provide a great opportunity to meet the creative’s involved, purchase one off artworks and show support for the project and local charity ‘Young Bristol’.
All I Want For Christmas Cards 2009 is a new festive project in support of the Bristol based charity ‘Young Bristol’. 25 local artists and illustrator’s specific works for the project are being used to create a limited edition run of Christmas cards that will be sold as packs containing each of the 25 cards.
Many of the artists themselves will be in attendance so you will get the chance to meet and chat to them about their work, involvement in the project and to buy limited edition, one off artworks from the artists during the evenings auction. With prices starting from just £30 this is an opportunity to buy original limited edition artworks in support of a worthy cause. A single, signed, bound edition of all the art works will also be available to the highest bid on the night.
The support and reception so far for the project has been extremely encouraging, with support from Arnolfini, HelloBlue fine art printers and artwork contributions from internationally renowned artists and illustrators including Jon Burgerman, Inkie, Peskimo, Ben Newman, Rich T and China Mike.
The evening provides an opportunity to support the project and charity and will include a Launch and first look at the Limited edition Christmas Card packs at 6pm with refreshments, followed by a live auction of the original art works at around 7pm.
Following this, on Friday 13th November the packs will officially be launched into the shops and sold via the All I want for Christmas cards website.
