Mail Art Competition

Lucy KennyWe all like to receive nice things through the post, but one project which has taken this concept a little further is Mail Me Art, a collection of artistic work, sent in the form of mail, by professional and amateur artists of all ages from across world. Anything goes as far as the image and medium is concerned, recent contributions have included fuzzy felt, pencil, marker pens, paint and biro.

The success of Mail Me Art culminted in the publication of a book and an exhibition, held in London in April 2009. Now, Mail Me Art 2 is up and running and looking for your work. A signed copy of the book plus an art related prize is given away each month to the artist of their favourite submission. A second book and exhibition may also be in the pipeline.

Shown above is Lucy Kenny's pink octopus design, one of many which caught my eye, take a look at the other Mail Me Art 2 contributions.
