Jenny Creasey – Ceramicist
Inspired by earlier paper samples, Jenny Creasey's collection has progressed into a range of decorative ceramic vessels. The pieces have been developed so that, visually, the finished product not only references, but also imitates paper. Paperclips, pins, thread and fastenings suitable for paper have been applied to porcelain. The vessels are fragile and delicate. Almost as thin as paper, they have a wonderful translucent quality, which is shown at its best when lit.
Jenny graduated from University in July 2009 with a degree in Design Crafts. She will be an Artist in Residence at De Montfort University until July 2010. Jenny is currently living and working in Leicester.
