Bob Clayden is a local photographer and community artist, who is soon to be making a camera shop into a camera.
The newly refurbished Max Spielmann shop in Pontefract will be getting a revamp, turning the top floor into a giant pinhole camera. By blacking out the windows and installing a tiny 2mm diameter hole, the camera will be making photos on large pieces of photographic paper that take around three hours to develop.
The outdoor market with its stalls and buildings will be photographed and later, be on display in the Pontefract Library foyer from Monday 28th June. Copies from the photos developed by the giant camera will also be available from the newly opened Max Spielmann.
Find out more by visiting the giant camera that will be on display during Wednesday 16th June. And to get a feel of what to expect, feast your eyes on these beautiful pinhole camera photographs by Bob...
