Lucy Dalzell is based in a studio in East London working on both commissioned illustrations and personal artworks. She has recently completed a studio residency in Hackney Wick in East London where she started an ongoing study of the changing landscape in the lead up to the Olympics. She's fascinated by transitional spaces and the way people interact with these, as well as deserted buildings. To her a haggard looking building can look very beautiful because of the history and stories that have passed through it.
She enjoys experimenting with collage and traditional printmaking methods to recreate her landscapes. Drawing is also a very important aspect of her practice. To see more of her work visit Lucydalzell.com.
