Lorna Freytag

Born and raised in Scotland Lorna Freytag studied at Grays school of Art in Aberdeen. After graduating she lived and worked as a photographers assistant in Dubai and New York. Several years later and as a fully fledged photographer she moved to Sydney and then London.

Here Lorna applied her unique and quirky style to editorial and commercial projects whilst developing her own private portrait business, working on fine art projects and illustrating her first childrens book “Wild Child” (due to be published by Walker Books late 2011).

Lornas work fuses together her love for photography, illustration and childrens stories. She uses her many scribbled sketchbooks, digital camera and self taught post-production techniques to bring her ideas to life. These ideas are usually inspired by childhood imaginings, classic childrens tales and dramatic landscapes.

Lorna has just finished her new series 'Feral' (as featured) which aims to explore our deepest desires for freedom and childhood innocence in its rawest, uncorrupted state. Lorna now lives in Edinburgh and works internationally.
