Claire Senior is a freelance illustrator based in Nottingham, England. In July 2010 she had her work selected for entry into the AOI's (Association of Illustrators) Images 34 Annual and related touring exhibition. She has worked for numerous clients and has had work commissioned from sectors such as the education and leisure industry.
Speaking of what inspires her, Claire said: "I find a great deal of my ideas are formed around the textures, patterns and shapes of everyday objects, which often inspire me when creating my characters. Humour frequently plays a big part in a lot of my work and I love word play and creating imagery that often has a double meaning."
And her materials? "I mainly work in Photoshop, and I love to scan in textures, patterns, typography and any manner of other material I think can enhance my illustration. I love the practise of combining texture and form which I think results in a deeper, richer image." Lovely stuff. To find out more about Claire visit www.cjsillustration.com.
