The Art of the Cover Version
Artist Pete McKee has invited some of his favourite artists, designers, musicians, writers and illustrators to create their individual interpretation of a 12” album that they have a special affinity with. This could be a redrawing of the cover, an interpretation of the lyrics, or a pictorial representation of what the music means to the artist.
Contributors include musician Richard Hawley and fashion legend Sir Paul Smith.
The results can be seen at Pete's Sheffield gallery, A Month Of Sundays, Sheffield S11 8ZG between 11 September and 8 October. Artists that will be displaying their cover versions will be:
